Nelson Mandela International Day

Leadership is not about titles or positions. It is about one life influencing another. Today marks  the birthday of a dynamic leader.  Nelson Mandela International Day (or Mandela Day) was officially declared by the United Nations in November 2009. It is an annual international day to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela, South Africa's former President, and is celebrated every 18 July on his birthday. A Nobel Peace Prize winner, he commands respect the world over for marking his contribution to the anti-apartheid struggle, standing up against racism, tackling poverty and inequality, and promoting racial reconciliation. Let's salute this Extraordinary Leader and wish him a speedy recovery real soon!
